Welcome to the
Town of Ithaca (NY) Democratic Committee
Our Mission
We are your neighbors
Our members work to represent our communities in the political process, while advancing the democratic values of justice, inclusivity, equity, and civility that help build a vibrant community and protect each other and our environment. We seek to identify and elect strong candidates for local, regional, state, and national offices. We communicate regularly with town officials and county legislators to understand how they are working to address important current issues.
We represent diverse communities
The Town of Ithaca includes a diverse set of rural and suburban communities, and two academic campuses. We celebrate that diversity and firmly believe that we need everyone’s perspective and participation for democracy to thrive.
Everyone is welcome
Whether or not you are a lifelong Democrat, or just interested in getting involved – we welcome you to come get to know us! Reach out to us at townofithacademocrats@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering or representing your community on the TOIDC or in elected office.
Contact Us
If you want to contact us, see the list of committee officers and members and the associated contact form. If you would like to get involved, we'd like to have you. See the ways you can get involved and a form to tell us your interests at our Get Involved page.
Make a Donation
Your support advances the Town of Ithaca Democratic Committee's commitment to "Voter Engagement" in the election process. Hosting an Annual Family Fun Day brings the community together with elected representatives in addition to publishing and mailing the Town Candidates Guide to households. Your contribution is an investment in making a difference at the ballot box.
