Virtual Wine & Cheese Fundraiser

The Tompkins County Democratic Committee is very pleased to invite you to our annual Spring Wine & Cheese Fundraiser with Senator Chuck Schumer, and our very own Leslyn McBean-Clairborne, Chairwoman of the Tompkins County Legislature, on Friday, June 27th at 5 pm. Naturally we will be meeting virtually on our TDCD Zoom platform, which has the wonderful advantage of Senator Schumer being able to join us in the midst of his very busy schedule. Unfortunately, you’ll have to bring your own wine and cheese!

Senator Schumer will join us to talk about our national political situation and then answer questions. Please send your questions to TompkinsCountyDemocrats@gmail.com and we will group them into topics in the interest of time. The Senator will also be able to take some questions live from us.

After our visit with Senator Schumer, we will be joined by Lesyln McBean-Clairborne, the first woman of color to Chair the Tompkins County Legislature, who will talk with us about the issues of racial injustice and policing nationally and locally. Leslyn will also engage in conversation with us.

This is a fundraiser to support the work of the TCDC and our goal is to raise $3,000, which is the amount we usually raise at this event. The suggested contribution is $20 and we welcome you to contribute whatever you are comfortable with, more or less.
